Our Education Program
When words fail, music speaks.” – Hans Christian Anderson

Open Your Heart  to our area youth by supporting our year-round music education programs. By exposing more than 4,000 of our local children to the power of music, Music in the Mountains Goes to School and Conservatory programs:

  • Promote use of higher-order thinking skills and increased brainpower
  • Contribute to improved sensitivity
  • Encourage motor development, teamwork and cohesiveness
  • Foster creativity, individuality, discipline and commitment
  • Provide a therapeutic outlet for our kids

Since 1999, Music in the Mountains Goes to School has inspired a large number of area school children to pursue their love of music.  This program brings music instruction to the Four Corners region and fosters the appreciation of classical music and increased participation in school music programs.  It is also designed to enhance the instructional level of music teachers and strengthen student music education programs, which is becoming increasingly important as school budgets are stretched at the national, state and local level.

Help us create a new generation of music makers and music lovers by becoming a supporter.
