Durango, Colorado.  It’s the kind of town you dream about.

Durango with its year round population of approximately 16,000 people is near the Four Corners junction with New Mexico, Arizona and Utah, and is perched at 6,512 feet, nestled between red sandstone bluffs in the vast Animas River Valley. To the north lie the peaks of the San Juan and Needles Mountains, which rise to an average elevation above 10,500 feet. To the west are arid desert lands, and to the south lies the southern border of the two million acre San Juan National Forest.

The majority of the festival performances are held at the beautiful Festival Tent at Purgatory. Other festival venues: The Community Concert Hall, Fort Lewis College; Roshong Recital Hall, Fort Lewis College; Glacier Club; St. Columba Catholic Church; First Baptist Church; La Plata County Fairgrounds; Bayfield; Pagosa; Cortez. Visitors may choose to stay in historic Durango or at one of Purgatory's three unique lodging options including hotels to condos, private homes and lodges.

Durango-La Plata County Airport (Airport Code: DRO) has daily service from Frontier Airlines, United Express, and US Airways.

Durango Jet Center (FOB)
This runway can support aircraft up to 757s and is rated IFR. Full fuel and maintenance service are available. Catering, transportation and helicopter services are available with advance reservations.

Driving Information

Durango is easily accessible by US Hwy 550 from the north and south, and US Hwy 160 from the east and west.
